Here is another set of images of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C Class. Perhaps the clearest pictures that we've seen as yet, we stand by what we said earlier: The new C Class is a mini S Class.
Looks are not the only area where the new C Class is expected to outpace the 3 Series and the A4. Built on a new rear-wheel drive platform (codenamed MRA), over 39 percent of the body shell uses aluminium, which translates into a 100 kg weight loss.
Mercedes is expected to announce the new C Class on December 16th, following which a public premiere will take place at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014. Sales of the new C Class start in Germany in March next year, and the car will be available initially with three engine options - a 157 hp/250 Nm 1.6-liter petrol, a 186 hp/300 Nm 1.8-liter petrol and a 170 hp/400 Nm 2.2-liter diesel.
Apart from the sedan, Mercedes will also make estate, coupe, convertible and AMG variants of the new C Class. Features such as head up display, cruise control with stop & go pilot, 360-degree camera, fingertip operated touchpad system, PRE-SAFE brakes and lane keeping assistant have been announced. The new C Class will also have a segment-first AIRMATIC air suspension package as an optional extra.
