The Toyota Avanza is one of Indonesia’s top five best selling models.
According to a report from Autobild Indonesia, the facelifted Toyota Avanza is likely to make its debut at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2015), which takes place from August 20-30.
A PR manager for Toyota Indonesia had told the publication that the company will showcase at the event, a large collection, which includes SUVs, MPVs, sedans and commercial vehicles, as well as a possible concept model.
Speaking of the facelifted Toyota Avanza, the only changes seen so far are minor exterior upgrades such as new swept-back headlights that flow into a larger grille, as well as a re-worked front bumper. The side profile will remain identical to the outgoing model, while the rear features updated taillamps with new reflectors connected at both ends by a long chrome bar.
Engine lineup is expected to be carried over from the current Avanza, which includes a 1.3- and 1.5-liter four-cylinder VVT-i petrol engines paired to manual or automatic transmissions. The smaller 1.3-liter engine develops 92 PS and 119 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-liter unit produces 104 PS and 139 Nm of torque.

Daihatsu also sells a re-badged version of the Toyota Avanza - dubbed as the Daihatsu Xenia. Like the model it's based upon, the Xenia could also get an exterior makeover, which is expected to be revealed by the end of 2015.
