New 'Performance' model added to the range.
The 2016 DS 3, 2016 DS 3 Cabrio, 2016 DS 3 Performance, and the 2016 DS 3 Performance BRM are being showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The facelifted 2016 DS 3 and 2016 DS 3 Cabrio feature updated design and enhanced functionality. Both cars feature the familiar DS front fascia with the “DS Wings” hexagonal grille surrounded by chrome. More customisation options are available now; the customers can choose from 78 body/roof colour combinations and four fabric roofs for the DS 3 Cabrio. The facelift also brings new alloy wheels.
The 2016 DS 3 features new trims and new interior design schemes, like Basalt Black Dinamica cloth and Topaz dashboard for instance. There's a new 7-inch colour touchcreen, with 20 fewer buttons on the central console. Mirror Screen is now available, comprising Apple CarPlay or MirrorLink (for Android phones). The facelifted DS 3 also features front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera with visual indicator guide lines on the 7-inch screen, and Hill Start Assist (MT only).
A new ‘Performance’ model has been introduced, with 15 mm lower suspension, 26 mm wider front track and 14 mm wider rear track, and larger brake discs (323 mm front with Brembo calipers, 249 mm rear). Under the bonnet, there's a 1.6-litre THP S&S turbocharged engine that produces 208 hp and 300 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission (with shorter gear ratios) and Torsen limited slip differential.
The exterior of the DS 3 Performance is differentiated with special DS Performance graphics, a special twin tailpipe, carbon side mouldings, a new sill plate design and Matt Black wheel arch extensions. Inside, there are leather and Alcantara upholstered bucket seats with special DS Performance embroidery.
