Inside, it features exclusive options such as "Rally Edition” floor mats and badging.

The only mechanical change in the Veloster Rally Edition is the suspension setup, which features stiffer springs, dampers, and stabilizer bar for sharper handling. Production for the special edition model is limited to 1200 units.

The notable mechanical feature is the new 7-speed double clutch transmission for the 2016 Veloster Turbo variant.

The standout feature is the new 7-speed double clutch transmission for the 2016 Veloster Turbo variant, which promises fast shift times and better fuel efficiency. For a more involving driving experience, Hyundai has still retained the option of a six-speed manual transmission. Also unchanged is the 1.6 turbo four-cylinder engine producing 201 hp at 6,000 rpm and 264.3 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm, under the hoods of the Turbo and the Turbo R-Spec (including the Rally Edition).

The standard Veloster is powered by the naturally aspirated version of the 1.6-liter engine, which produces 138 hp at 6,300 rpm and peak torque of 166.7 Nm at 4,850 rpm. It is paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
