Weeks after its global premiere at the Paris Motor Show, the new Kia Sorento received its North American premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Looking similar to the European model, the US-spec car gets orange indicators, chrome rims, and "ice cube" foglamps.
In the US market, the SUV will feature a 185 hp 2.4-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 240 hp 2.0-liter turbo engine or a 290 hp 3.3-liter V6 engine. All engines will be paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
To be available at the dealers in the first quarter of next year, the 2016 Sorento will come in L, LX, EX, SX and SXL trims. Features include optional heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, 14-way adjustable powered driver seat, 8-way adjustable powered passenger seats, driver’s seat thigh extension, dual-zone AC, panoramic sunroof, and Nappa leather interior.
