The facelift of the Mercedes A-Class has been spotted fully undisguised for the first time, courtesy of Mercedes-fans.de. The 2016 A-Class will receive its global premiere at the IAA 2015 (Frankfurt Motor Show) that commences on 15th of September.
It was reported earlier that the 2016 A-Class' pre-launch bookings will start in July, while dealers in Germany will sell the new A-Class from 26th of September.
The third generation A-Class (W 176 series) gets a mid-cycle update on the lines of the recently launched B-Class with striking changes up front showing redesigned grille, headlamps, bumper graphics, and a new alloy design. In addition, the spied car wears an unseen green body paint, kicking up speculations on revised colour schemes in store for the facelift.
The baby Benz is also reported to get a new steering wheel, revised instrument panel with 12 colour ‘mood lighting’ LEDs, free-standing display and infotainment system with ‘Connect Me’ function, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2016 A-Class will carry the existing engine-line up forward, with a possible boost in output from 360 hp to 380 hp in its flagship A45 AMG variant.

Mercedes India may launch the refreshed car early next year and it will be powered by the same 1.6-liter petrol and 2.2-liter diesel motors, both paired to a 7-speed DCT. The company had launched the 2015 A-Class model update two months back, ruling out further updates for the year.
