2017 Hyundai Equus shows its silhouette - Spied

The 2017 Hyundai Equus has been spotted testing wearing heavy camouflage. Underneath the wraps would be the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design that has been applied to most other models in the brand's lineup.

The interior of the next generation Equus should also be upgraded to a significant extent. It is reported that the seat comfort of the new Equus has been largely improved and the shoulder rest is made adjustable.

In the 2017 model, a built-in wireless charger is expected, which is offered on the Kia Optima and the Kia Sportage. In addition, all the new equipment available on the Genesis can be expected to come on the new Equus, including the infotainment system with around-view monitor and the HTRAC all-wheel drive system.

The next generation Equus is expected to retain the 5.0-litre V8 Hyundai Tau engine.

Regarding the powertrain, it is reported that the 5.0-litre V8 Hyundai Tau engine will be retained for the flagship variant, while the 3.8-litre motor may be replaced by the 3.3-litre TwinTurbo Lambda II GDI V6 petrol engine will push out 371 PS (365 hp). A 10-speed transmission, reportedly still in development, would be offered on the vehicle at some point in its lifecycle.
