To launch in May 2017, reportedly.
Shoeb R Kalania has created a rendering of the 2017 Maruti Dzire based on spy shots of an undisguised example at a yard. This is the best look yet at the posterior of the new Swift Dzire.
The design looks evolutionary, featuring a new boot, re-profiled rear bumper and wraparound LED taillamps. Although not featured, the spy shots reveal that the front bumper of the new Swift Dzire looks slightly different to that of the new Swift, which was launched in Japan in January and showcased at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The model rendered is based on the top-end 'Z’ grade, which gets new 15-inch multi-spoke alloy rims.
Like the current model, the new Swift Dzire will get a dual tone beige and black interior with beige fabric upholstery. Expect top variants to come with Maruti’s Smartplay touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, 4.2-inch color MID and steering-mounted buttons, while ABS and dual airbags could be made standard across the range.

The 2017 Maruti Dzire diesel will continue with the 1.3L DDiS 190 4-cyl diesel engine, which produces 75 PS and 190 Nm of peak torque. However, the Dzire diesel will come equipped with SHVS mild-hybrid system for better fuel efficiency figures. The petrol variant is likely to pack the same 1.2L 4-cyl K12B petrol engine with 84 hp and 114 Nm of torque.
We expect an official announcement on the new Dzire in May.
