In April spy photos leaked the first look of the facelifted MG3, but didn't reveal much of its interior. Now pictures uploaded on chejiahao.autohome.com.cn opens the doors of MG Motor's B-Segment hatchback.

The revamped interior of the facelifted MG3 gets a new steering wheel, two-tone colour and a new infotainment system.

The interior of the facelifted MG3 has substantial differences. The new three-spoke steering wheel looks more car-like and similar to that of the MG ZS. The dashboard has a new look and gets a two-tone colour scheme. The manual HVAC controls on the redesigned centre console suggest that the interior is not of the top-spec grade. The new infotainment system is closer to the driver now and is flanked by vertical air vents. The range-topping configuration may offer automatic climate control, push-button start and more features.

The MG3 is currently available in China with 1.3-litre NSE and 1.5-litre VCT NSE engines. The 1.3-litre petrol engine develops 68 kW (91.15 hp) and 118 Nm of torque. Transmission choices for this engine include 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual. The 1.5-litre VCT NSE engine develops 80 kW (107.24 hp) and 135 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 5-speed automated manual transmission.

On the facelift SAIC-MG will boost outputs of the 1.3- and 1.5-litre petrol engines to 71 kW (95.17 hp) and 82 kW (109.92 hp) respectively. A 4-speed automatic transmission will likely replace the 5-speed automated manual transmission.

The new MG3 could go on sale in China later this year, although no confirmation is available yet. MG Motor established Indian operations last month and confirmed the rollout of its first model in 2019. The subsidiary of SAIC is investing in GM's defunct facility in Halol to manufacture cars.
