2017 Tata Super Ace spotted for the first time

The 2017 Tata Super Ace (facelift) has been spied testing for the first time by Team-BHP member, Tushky, in Pune, Maharashtra. Tata could launch the facelifted Super Ace next year.

The pre-production test mule was spied next to a Tata Ace Mega, which slots below the Super Ace in the product lineup. Noticeable changes include redesigned headlamps (test mule features temporary units), new grille with dual slats, and the front-end appears to be slightly elongated to accommodate a faux bonnet.

The interior has not been photographed, but expect updated instrument dials, new fabric seat upholstery and new steering wheel. As for the engine, it could continue with Super Ace Mint's 1.4L DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) BSIV diesel engine with 69 hp and 140 Nm of torque. It remains to be seen if Tata Motors reworks the suspension or frame. The new Super Ace will slot in the 1-tonne payload capacity segment.

As for the engine option, the 2017 Super Ace could continue with the current 1.4L DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) BSIV diesel engine

Tata Motors is also working on the next-gen Tata Xenon pick-up, which will be launched in India as well as export markets next year. A pre-production test mule was recently spied on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.
