2018 Mitsubishi Triton (facelift) with Dynamic Shield front-end spied
The fifth-gen Mitsubishi Triton introduced in late-2014 is on course to receive a refresh this year. Mitsubishi has started testing the 2018 Mitsubishi Triton, spy shots shared by Paultan reader Tim Kelly show.
The facelifted Mitsubishi Triton features the latest interpretation of Mitsubishi's "Dynamic Shield" front design concept adopted by the Mitsubishi Xpander and Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The new model will have a front lighting setup similar to that of the latter, with sharp headlamps featuring LED DRLs in the upper portion and vertically stacked turn signals and fog lamps below.
The layout of the new radiator grille, lower air intake and bumper follow the design principles of the two latest Mitsubishis. All in all, the new X-shaped front fascia leaves the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger rival with a sportier and contemporary feel.
