The 2019 BMW 7 Series that was introduced in January has reached India for testing. New spy shots have shown it being transported on a flatbed.
The 2019 BMW 7 Series features a new kidney grille which is significantly larger in size, and its front-end is 50 mm taller. Also, its super-slender new headlights feature BMW Laserlight high-beam. The new front bumper looks more sophisticated, courtesy of new chrome edging and large trim surfaces. On the sides, there are updated front wings with new upright Air Breathers. At the rear, the tail lights are 35 mm slimmer and are connected via a new, full-width light strip below the chrome bar. The rear bumper of the new model houses wider exhaust tailpipes.
Inside, the BMW 7 Series has gained an updated steering wheel with re-organised control panels, BMW Live Cockpit Professional which runs on BMW Operating System 7.0 and comprises a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch central display, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant that responds to “Hey BMW” and various other comfort and convenience upgrades.
The new BMW 7 Series measure 5,120 mm (SWB)/5,260 mm (LWB) in length, 1,902 mm in width and 1,467 mm (SWB)/1,479 mm (LWB) in height. It is 22 mm longer in both SWB/LWB versions when compared to the old model.
The engine options now include a new 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol unit which generates 530 PS and 750 Nm of torque in the BMW 750i xDrive and BMW 750Li xDrive. BMW has introduced even a new plug-in powertrain, available in BMW 745e, BMW 745Le and BMW 745Le xDrive variants. This system combines a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (286 PS/450 Nm) with an electric motor (113 PS/265 Nm).
