The 2019 iteration continues to feature twin-pod, full LED headlight. However, the design is sharper than the previous variant. The motorcycle gets a taller windscreen that is aimed to enhance the windblast protection. The 2019 CBR150R continues to feature LED blinkers and tail light that give it a premium look.

The fascia is followed by an updated cockpit that now comes with an upgraded instrument console that features a new display colour. The fuel tank can store up to 12 litres of petrol. Other changes include new graphics that give the motorcycle a refreshed visual. The bike continues to feature a split-style seat with a tall position for the pillion rider. A Truss frame continues to underpin the 2019 CBR150R.

Apart from the changes mentioned above, the Honda CBR150R continues with same engine and hardware specifications as its predecessor. The motorcycle is sold in four colour options in the Thailand market – Black, Blue/Black, Orange (with Repsol racing livery) and Red/Black.

Mechanical specifications include a 149 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, double overhead camshaft 4-valve engine with fuel injection. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the motor churns out a maximum power of 17.1 PS at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

Stopping power comes from disc brakes on both ends. Safety net on the CBR150R includes ABS, which is an optional feature in the Thailand market. The ABS variant comes with petal-type discs and features an Emergency Signal Stop (ESS) system that flashes the tail lamp in case of heavy braking.

Conventional forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear – both adjustable for preload – perform shock absorption tasks. Ergonomics, similar to its predecessor, has been tuned for a forward leaning-riding stance that has been achieved using clip-on style handlebars.

Honda 2Wheelers India has announced no plans to bring the updated CBR150R to the Indian market. However, looking at the success of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 in the country, it wouldn’t be wrong to expect the new CBR150R in India.
