2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift) with a 1.9L engine and an AT spotted

Cardekho has spotted a heavily camouflaged example of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift). The updated pick-up truck was unveiled in Thailand over a year ago and has been undergoing road-tests in India since September 2018.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift) is said to be in the final stages of testing and should launch in the coming months.

The cosmetic updates on the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross include a refreshed front-end that will look similar to the UK-spec model. It will feature bi-LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs instead of the halogen units found on the current model, while its bumpers, front grille and tail lamps will be new, too. The updates for the updated V-Cross will be similar in nature to the ones introduced on the MU-X facelift. The cosmetic upgrades for the V-Cross are subtle in nature but work well to update the aesthetics of the pickup truck.

On the inside, the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will feature a brown-black colour theme instead of the beige-brown finish available on the current model. The cabin has also received black piano inserts on the dashboard, central console and doors. The new trim has replaced the silver-coloured version available on the current model.

It has been reported that the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be sold with a 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel engine that will replace the current 2.5-litre oil-burner, The new motor will come mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4wd. The 1890cc powerplant will comply with the BSVI emission norms ahead of April 1, 2020 deadline. On the UK-spec model, this motor outputs a maximum power of 164 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm. In comparison, the outgoing 2.5-litre engine offers 134 PS and 320 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

With the advent of the facelift, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be sold with a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission that will be mated to a BSVI-compliant 1.9-litre oil-burner.

The 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift) is expected to launch in the coming months and go on sale in a price range of INR 15-18 lakh (ex-showroom).
