Kawasaki Motorcycles Thailand has introduced the 2019 Kawasaki Z250 at the 2018 Thai Motor Expo. The Z250 is priced at THB 163,000 (INR 3.48 lakh).

The design of the 2019 Kawasaki Z250 is similar to the Z400, which has also been showcased at the 2018 Thai Motor Expo.

The 2019 Kawasaki Z250 is displayed alongside the all-new Z400, which is the naked version of the Ninja 400. Identical to the Kawasaki Z400, the Z250 is inspired by the Sugomi design philosophy, which is seen on models like the Ninja H2 and the Versys 1000.

The New Kawasaki Z250 features a muscular fuel tank, full-LED headlight, raised tail section and a wide handlebar. The motorcycle is underpinned by a steel trellis chassis, which is similar to the Kawasaki Z400 and the Ninja 400. The Z250 is predominantly developed for the ASEAN markets where performance bikes above 250cc attract higher duties. While there's no official word on the Indian launch, Kawasaki could launch it here sometime in 2019 to replace the existing model.

The Kawasaki Z250 will initially go on sale in the Southeast Asian markets before launching globally. Powering the Kawasaki Z250 is a 249cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The fuel-injected, 4-valve engine is tuned to make 38.2 PS of maximum power and 23.5 Nm of peak torque.

The features list on the Kawasaki Z250 include full-LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, LED taillights and dual-channel ABS as standard. The digital readout on the instrument console displays speed, gear position indicator, fuel indicator, trip metres and clock. The Z250 is available in only one colour scheme - Pearl Stardust White / Metallic Spark Black.

The Kawasaki Z250 is underpinned by a steel trellis frame, which uses the engine as a stressed member. The chassis is suspended by 41mm front telescopic forks and an adjustable rear mono-shock. Braking power comes from petal discs at both the ends. When launched in India, the Z250 will rival the BMW G 310 R and the KTM 250 Duke.
