The 2020 Benelli 302S has already entered the American market, and it should not be too long before it arrives on our shores. It will replace the Benelli TNT300 in the naked roadster category of the company’s Indian portfolio.

The 2020 Benelli 302S carries a comprehensive visual upgrade over the TNT300. The front fascia, for example, benefits from full-LED lighting with a projector headlight. The revised cockpit receives a digital display instead of a semi-digital unit on the TNT300, thus adding a modern touch to the package. Other styling upgrades include shorter radiator shrouds.

Apart from the changes listed above, the 302S looks nearly identical to the TNT300. Thus, you would notice a familiar shape for the fuel tank, saddle, rear panel and the engine cowl. The 302S, similar to the TNT300, is built around a trellis frame.

The revised engine specifications pack more power and torque than the TNT300. The 302S features a 300 cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC motor that pumps out 37.5 hp of max power at 11,000 rpm and 18.9 ft·lb (25.62 Nm) of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. In contrast, the 282 cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC mill on the TNT300 produced 32.2 hp at 10,500 rpm and 18.4 ft·lb (24.94 Nm) at 6,500 rpm.

The hardware specifications, similar to the TNT300, carry premium features such as 41 mm inverted forks at the front and an asymmetrically mounted mono-shock at the rear. The front suspension setup is non-adjustable while the rear mono-shock can be tuned for pre-load and rebound adjustment.

Anchoring tasks are performed by 260 mm dual-discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a 240 mm single disc with a two-piston calliper at the rear. The US-spec model uses Pirelli sourced Angel ST tyres in 120/70-ZR17 front and 160/60-ZR17 rear configurations. We expect to see an identical setup on the Indian-spec model as well.
