Piaggio India has rolled out a price hike for Aprilia and Vespa scooters. Increasing the prices ahead of the high-demand festive season may reflect on the sales of the scooters, although the company has also announced some special offers.

Piaggio India is offering benefits worth INR 10,000 on Vespa and Aprilia scooters. Under the offer, buyers get free insurance (worth INR 4,000), Paytm cashback of up to INR 6,000, free five-year warranty, free first-year labour service and free on-road assist on purchase of new Vespa and Aprilia scooters. The special offer will ease some effects of the price increase.

The SR 125 has received the least hike, while the Storm 125 has gone through the highest increase in the Aprilia range. In the Vespa series, the Urban Club 125 has received the minimum price increase while the Vespa SXL 150 (matte black, white, orange, blue) has got the highest hike.

The prices will go even higher with the BS-VI upgrade. The updated scooters will come equipped with fuel-injection technology and other sensors that will help it comply with the more stringent emission norms.
