Bajaj Boxer is India's most exported two-wheeler - Report

Bajaj Boxer is no longer retailed in India.

A report in BikeAdvice claims that the Bajaj Boxer 100 is the country’s most exported two-wheeler. Bajaj exported 3.57 lakh units of the Bajaj Boxer 100 between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017. Africa is the biggest consumer of the Boxer motorcycle brand.

The numbers though have dropped 41 percent on year on year basis. The Bajaj CT100 is the second most exported two-wheeler with almost 2 lakh units exported in the last fiscal. The third and fourth spots were taken up by the Bajaj Pulsar range (more than 1.5 lakh motorcycles) and the Bajaj Boxer 150 (1.40 lakh units plus).

A variant of the Bajaj Boxer family, the Bajaj Boxer 150 Cross, was spotted testing in India back in March 2017, but the company doesn't look like its in the mood to reintroduce the Boxer brand.

The Honda Dio is India’s most exported automatic scooter with 1.35 lakh units shipped in the financial year 2016-17. The scooter ranked the fifth most exported two-wheeler from India.

Bajaj Auto saw a drop in exports by 16 percent (motorcycles only and not commercial vehicles). The company aims to increase exports this fiscal and will be entering five new markets by March 31, 2018. Bajaj recently entered the Malaysian market in association with the Modenas Group.
