Indian launch expected to unfold in the coming months.
Bajaj Auto's Turkish distributor Kuralkan Holding told local publication MotoTron at the Eurasia Moto Bike Expo 2015 that it would be launching the company's first fully-faired motorcycle, the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, in June.
The motorcycle would be available for a price of TL 9,999 translating to INR 2,40,000 and is expected to be imported from India as a CBU.
At the trade show, the Pulsar 200 SS was on display alongside the the Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS and the Discover 150 F which are the premium sport and premium commuter offerings.
For India, the Pulsar 200 SS would launch in the coming months. It would be powered by the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder, triple-spark, four stroke, liquid cooled, engine that powers the Pulsar 200 NS. For features, the fully faired Pulsar would be sporting dual projector headlights, LED DRLs in the front fairing and LED taillights.
The motorcycle's engine, in Turkish specification, produces 24.4 PS power at 9,500 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm (official figures). This confirms that the engine for the Pulsar 200 SS is tweaked, although very slightly to give it a torque improvement (up from 18.3 Nm).
