Force Motors has launched the BS 4 compliant Gurkha range. Prices of the 2017 Force Gurkha start at INR 8.76 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The most expensive Xplorer 5 door variant is priced at INR 11.90 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2,596 cc TCIC 4 cylinder common rail diesel engine complies with BS IV regulations. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 85 hp at 3,200 rpm, while peak torque of 230 Nm is available from 1,400 to 2,400 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the 3-door and 5-door Xplorer variants get 4x4 as standard, the Gurkha Xpedition is rear wheel driven. The Force Gurkha Xplorer also gets front and rear live axles with differential lock.
As far as the capabilities of the Force Gurkha are concerned, it can negotiate gradients of up to 40 degrees. It has a 39-degree approach angle a 27-degree departure angle and a ramp over an angle of 24 degrees.

The SUV gets front and rear steel bumper finished in black. Force Motors will let customers choose from soft top and hard top options but only in case of the Xplorer variant. There are four colour options to choose from - Cooper Red, Superior White, Matt Black, Moondust Silver. Interestingly, the yellow seen in images shared on the official website is not listed in the brochure.
