Chevrolet Camaro - Auto Expo 2016 Live

No plans for market launch.

Like every previous Auto Expo since the fifth generation model's arrival, GM is displaying the Chevrolet Camaro at the Auto Expo 2016 as well. This time though, it's the all-new, sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro taking up the stage. The sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro was unveiled at a special event in Detroit in May last year and is making its official Indian debut at the Delhi Motor Show.

The sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro is 4,784 mm long (-57 mm), 1,897 mm wide (-20 mm) and 1,348 mm (-28 mm shorter), and has a wheelbase of 2,811 mm (-41 mm). Based on GM's Alpha platform, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is lighter by over 200 lbs (90 kg).

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is available with three gasoline engine choices. The base engine is a 2.0-liter LTG turbocharged unit that produces 275 hp and 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque. This engine is mated to the Tremec TR3160 6-speed manual transmission and allows the Camaro to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in under 6 seconds. Moving up, there's the 3.6-liter LGX naturally aspirated V6 unit good for 335 hp and 284 lb.-ft. (385 Nm) of torque. Transmission choices for these engines include the Tremec TR3160 6-speed manual and the Hydra-Matic 8L45 paddle-shift 8-speed automatic.

Topping the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro range, is the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s 6.2-liter LT1 naturally aspirated V8 unit that puts out 455 hp and 455 lb.-ft. (617 Nm) of torque. It can be had with the Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission that features Active Rev Match or with the Hydra-Matic 8L90 paddle-shift 8-speed automatic transmission.
