Chevrolet Captiva facelift heads to Geneva to become a global model

The upcoming Geneva Motor Show is going to be as jam packed and as eventful as ever.

GM has announced that the Chevrolet Captiva facelift would be making its premiere at the show. The company claims that there are several styling changes to the front and rear of the SUV.

Regular Indian Autos Blog readers have seen this car through photographs posted from its Korean premiere. We backed it up with a promotional film of the car in motion on Thursday.

The highlight of the body changes is at the rear which gets reprofiled tail lamps featuring LED lights. The circular dual exhausts are replaced by angular ones and the silver diffuser is restyled.

The front gets a new lower bumper, new mesh for the grill and new foglamps. The profile of the car stays unchanged except for the addition of 18" alloy wheels.

Inside, the SUV gets new seat fabrics and colors, the higher-end variants come with leather seats. The instrument panels are revised and the facelifted vehicle offers dual zone climatic control, ambient lighting package and heated rear seats. Keyless entry and start come as standard in top-end variants.

There is no mention about the powertrain options but we expect the Captiva facelift to continue with its current range, perhaps with minor tweaks. The India spec version would carry the 2.2 litre diesel engine that develops 186.5 PS.
