Chevrolet Prisma hits Brazilan showrooms ahead of its launch
The Chevrolet Prisma has started reaching Brazilian dealer showrooms a few days in advance of the official launch.
The sedan version of the Onix is ready to take the fight to other sedans like the Fiat Siena, Toyota Etios and the Renault Logan. Our friends at Noticiasautomotivas.com.br have inside-out pictures of the car from a showroom.
The sedan has a front fascia similar to that of its hatchback sibling and the high-end LTZ variant has a blue tint to the headlamps. The car follows the Onix's styling until B-pillar, after which, GM designers have done a commendable job of neatly integrating a big boot to the car.
The interior too is reminiscent with the hatchback but the color of the plastics are different. The sedan employs brown and dark grey plastic panels on the dashboard. The MyLink touchscreen multimedia infotainment system sits nicely on the center console.
The top-end LTZ variant gets the Chevy MyLink system, ABS, Airbags, alloy wheels and chrome door handles. The rear seats can be split, unlocking a huge luggage space.
The Prisma borrows powertrains from the Onix. The 1.0-litre flex fuel engine is capable of 80 bhp while the 1.4-litre flex fuel motor is good enough for 106 bhp.
The prices of the Chevrolet Prisma will be announced soon and is expected to start from 34,000 Reals (around Rs. 9.23 lakhs).
