GAC Trumpchi GS8
The GAC Trumpchi GS8 had its public debut at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show) and will go on sale in September. The GS8 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 188 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission and distributed between them through the 'i-4WD' system.
Shanghai Maxus D90
The Shanghai Maxus D90 is a new full-size SUV concept. The SAIC-owned brand will launch the production version of the D90 concept in September 2017. Customers of the D90 concept's production version will be able to specify any seating configuration they want, including 2+2+3, 2+3+2 and 2+3+3.
Roewe Vision R
The Roewe Vision R, first showcased at the 2015 Guangzhou Auto Show, shows Roewe's latest design language that will be used for its future models. Moreover, the concept previews the next-gen Roewe 950 which will be based on the 2017 Buick LaCrosse, expected to be offered with a 254 hp 2.0-litre engine and a 3.6-litre V6 engine.
Chevrolet-FNR
The Chevrolet-FNR concept is an autonomous electric vehicle that was developed in Shanghai by parent company GM's Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) joint venture. The futuristic vehicle features many intelligent technologies like Chevy Intelligent Assistant, iris recognition start and sensors and roof-mounted radar that map out the surroundings to enable autonomous driving. In autonomous driving mode, the front seats can swivel 180 degrees to allow the front passengers sit face-to-face with the rear passengers.
Toyota FCV Plus
The Toyota FCV Plus concept, as the name suggests, is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle and yet another indicator that the future at Toyota are FCVs, not EVs. The FCV Plus concept is an all-wheel drive vehicle having in-wheel motors in all four wheels. The fuel cell stack is mounted between the front tyres, and the hydrogen tank is mounted behind the rear seat. The fuel cell stack can also be reused as an electricity generating device at home or away. The FCV Plus concept measures 3,800 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width and 1,540 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.
