Today, Skoda will launch the Kodiaq Scout in India. Just hours before the launch, IAB exclusively brings you the brochure and full specs of the Indian-spec Kodiaq Scout.
The Indian-spec Skoda Kodiaq Scout looks identical to the model sold in Europe. It has a slightly greater sense of ruggedness with subtle exclusive design touches.
On the outside, there are various elements coloured in silver to highlight its exclusivity. A silver-coloured trim frames the radiator grille. There's special underbody protection at the front and rear, visually split into three parts and painted in silver. The roof rails, ORVM housing and side window trims are also of silver colour. Moreover, there's a small Scout badge on the front wing. The 18-inch alloy wheels are in the same, Trinity design, but they carry a dual-tone finish. Strangely, they uplift the elegance of the SUV instead of its ruggedness.
On opening the doors, decorative sills with Scout branding welcomes the occupants. The cabin has a black theme. The dashboard and doors are decorated with special strips in a wood-like style. The glove compartment wears a small badge carrying Scout branding. Another highlight is the Alcantara leather seats which feature stitched Scout logo. The Amundsen infotainment shows 'Scout' logo on the welcome screen. One more exclusive feature which shouldn't matter much but is worth pointing out is chrome door handles. The main comfort, convenience and safety features are the same as that of the regular Skoda Kodiaq.
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout offers the same ground clearance as the regular Skoda Kodiaq - 188 mm. The only difference in terms of dimensions is that with a length of 4,705 mm, it is 8 mm longer. Under the hood, is the same BS-IV 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces 150 PS and 340 Nm of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system are standard.
The Scout variant's only distinctive off-road features in India are Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and an Off-Road mode that operates at speeds of up to 30 km/h. The Off-Road mode adjusts the characteristics of the engine, electronic assistants and stability control systems.

The Skoda Kodiaq Scout should be priced somewhere between INR 35-40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold in four colours: Moon White, Quartz Grey, Magic Black and Lava Blue. Today is the last day when the regular Skoda Kodiaq in the Style trim will be available at INR 33.00 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of INR 35.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
