Video - Not-for-India Fiat 500X crossover teased ahead of its Paris debut
Shares its platform with the Jeep Renegade.
Fiat has released the first teaser of the 500X crossover, which is reported to have its public reveal at the Paris Motor Show early next month.

The video, which shows the sketch of the front, rear and side profiles of the car, indicates that the 500X will have a design inspired by the 500-series of cars. Design elements such as the circular headlights, rectangular taillights and the slim horizontal grille will ensure the 500X not being mistaken for the Jeep Renegade, which it shares its platform and production facility with.
Power for the 500X would come from Fiat's turbocharged TwinAir petrol engines and Multijet diesel engines. While base variants will have a front wheel drive layout, 4WD versions will be available higher on the variant walk. Transmission choices for the 500X could include a dual-clutch and a 9-speed automatic apart from a manual box.

Fiat has no plans to bring the 500X to India, and will instead launch the Punto-based Avventura early next month.
