Ford has announced a "Euro focused" small car will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show next month. This small car will not be sold in the US, but we have a hunch that it will arrive in India sooner or later.
This will be Ford's "groundbreaking all-new vehicle" for the European market. There are no clues on the platform or powertrain used, but we're guessing it must be the next gen mini Fiesta SUV (EcoSport) or Fiesta MPV (B-Max).
The hatchback for some reason got labeled as the only synonym to small car. But compact MPVs, SUVs and even sedans can be termed as small cars.
The Fords sold in India are developed or built-upon versions of European models. The Escort, Ikon, Fiesta, Figo and Fusion are some examples.
Ford displayed the Start Concept in China last year which many believe will turn into the next generation KA. It is reported that Ford is scouting for a location to produce the KA successor and India is on that list.
We'll find out what this small car is on March 1st.
