Will launch in Nepal this August.
Autolife reports that Ford dealerships across Nepal have begun accepting bookings for the company's first ever sub-4m sedan - the Ford Figo Aspire. It is expected to go on sale later this month, following its launch in India on August 12.
The Ford Figo Aspire features an all new exterior that also previews the design for the 2016 Ford Figo hatchback. It measures 3,995 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, 1,525 mm high, has a wheelbase of 2,491 mm, and 174 mm of ground clearance.
Inside, it design borrows cues from the Ford Ecosport, and is a welcome upgrade from that of the previous Figo hatchback. Equipment include a segment-first SYNC infotainment system, Ford MyKey, Bluetooth handsfree and automatic climate control.
Under the hood, the engines available to choose from include a 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol with 88 hp and 112 Nm of torque, a revised 1.5-liter Duratorq diesel engine delivering 100 hp and 215 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT capable of 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque. While the 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 1.5 petrol comes with a 6-speed PowerShift dual clutch automatic gearbox.
