The KTM X-Bow is not your average road legal, track focused car.

It is rather a grown up, sophisticated road going go kart than a car. The KTM X-Bow earned its reputation as a sharp and precise track tool, no wonder it is regularly featured in the annual Race Of Champion events.

Here is the new iteration of the car and KTM calls it as the X-Bow GT. The new car has an enhanced intention to be a road focused car. And that is the reason why it gets the GT suffix.

The KTM X-Bow GT comes with a small wrap around windshield which eliminates the need of a crash helmet. KTM designers have also managed to slip in a couple of small doors on either side. However just like the regular X-Bow, the GT doesn't opt for a roof. The rest of the design elements also stay faithful to the original car.

Features of the KTM X-Bow GT

  • 2 litre TFSi petrol engine derived from Audi delivering 285 bhp and 420 Nm of torque
  • 0-100 kmph in 4.1 seconds
  • 6-speed manual gearbox
  • 847 kg with weight to power ratio of 3kg per bhp
  • Fuel economy of 12.04 kmpl

The X-Bow GT is priced at around 87,000 Euros (around Rs. 62.17 lakhs). Of course the price it pretty steep but if you want a road car with single seater feel, there isn't much to look elsewhere. And also it is a wee bit more practical than the Aerial Atom!
