Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India pvt ltd (HMSI) has launched the first-ever mobile service van for two-wheelers in India. The service van is part of HMSI's initiative to attend to the rural market in India where it still lags behind compared to its primary competitor, Hero Motocorp.

Honda Mobile Service Van
The Mobile Service Van from HMSI will act as both a service centre and a dealership in the rural markets.

In a press release, the company says that the van will have a simple display area where a single motorcycle will be displayed. There will also be a seating area where HMSI's personnel will interact with prospective customers. An LED display for better understanding of the vehicle, test ride facility and a public announcement service will also be available.

The Honda CD 110 Dream completes HMSI's Dream series for India.

The van will also have two service bays which will give the rural customer access to HMSI's genuine spare parts and service. Local service technicians, the company says, will also be trained in the van to support its rural service network. With the launch of this van, HMSI's plans includes the launch of ten more vans before the end of 2014.
