Every second 125cc motorcycle customer in India is choosing Honda CB Shine brand
The Honda CB Shine continues to outperform the 125cc segment as it has become India’s only executive motorcycle to breach one lakh sales mark for the third time. With the festive season, that sales performance is likely to be retained in the coming months.

Honda sold as many as 1,08,790 units of the CB Shine in August 2018. In the corresponding month last year, Honda sold 94,748 units of the 125cc executive commuter.
With the positive sales from CB Shine and CB Shine SP, Honda’s 125cc motorcycle sales have grown by 14% from 4,32,984 units last year to 4,95,315 units this year, even as the industry remained flat with 9,45,633 unit sales in April-August 2018. Honda’s market share in the second highest motorcycle segment has increased sharply by 6% in year-on-year basis to 52% during this period.
Honda’s total two-wheeler sales for August 2018 stood at 6,14,444 units as against 5,86,173 units in the corresponding month last year – registering a 4.82% growth. Its domestic sales grew from 25,76,675 units in April-August 2017 to 27,76,229 units in April-August 2018.
Speaking on this achievement, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, thanked the company’s 60 lakh plus CB Shine customers in India. He said that achieving this record before festivals gives the company high confidence that CB Shine will further consolidate its leadership as India’s preferred 125cc motorcycle.
The Honda CB Shine is priced from INR 57,397* (SELF-DRUM) to INR 62,616* (SELF-DISC-CBS). The CB Shine SP, on the other hand, is sold from INR 63,000* (SELF-DRUM) to INR 67,477* (SELF-DISC-CBS).
Both models use a 124.73 cc, Air cooled, 4 stroke engine that is tuned to deliver 10.16 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Stopping power is provided by 130mm drum brakes on both ends, although customers can get a front disc brake as an option.

The Honda CB Shine SP is aimed to attract a younger audience, and so, it features stylish graphics and sharper design. The standard CB Shine features a relatively subtle design.
