The fluid design of the Dio appeals younger buyers.

The Honda Dio Deluxe edition comes with an all-LED headlight with LED DRL. It also comes with fully-digital instrumentation that features the Three-Step Eco Speed Indicator and a service reminder. The steel wheels have a gold finish, and the apron gets a 4-in-1 lock with seat opening switch for added convenience. The Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR has a masculine design with lots of angular elements on the bodywork. The scooter gets a large 21-litre underseat storage space and two front pockets to store knick-knacks. The Ray-ZR's seat is 10 mm higher than the Dio.

Despite having a slightly bigger engine, the Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR is marginally less powerful than the Dio. It also gets a rather simple analogue instrumentation. However, the scooter comes with an uprated front telescopic fork which can handle road undulations more effectively than the bottom-link unit in the Honda Dio Deluxe. The Dio has the advantage of having CBS for better safety, while the Ray-ZR gets a 170 mm front disc as an option. The LED light in the Dio will offer better illumination and energy efficiency than the Ray-ZR’s halogen headlight. The Ray-ZR received colour updates in March, this year.
