We wouldn't mind seeing the same fascia on the next generation Jazz that premieres in late 2013.

The Honda Jade is based on the Concept S showcased at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. Technically it is based on the third generation Honda Stream platform. The Jade is one of the two "near-production" vehicles Honda flew to Shanghai, the other being the Crider, which was the production counterpart to the Concept C. These are two products identified for the high-potential C segment in China where more cars are bought from than any other segment.

The Jade will be manufactured by the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture. The production model, measuring 4,645mm long, 1,775mm wide, 1,500mm tall, and laid out along a wheelbase of 2,760mm, would resemble the concept by about 99%. It will source power from 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter four cylinder gasoline engines. A hybrid variant may join the party later.

One can't but think that the Jade will replace the Stream globally with some local translations.

CarNewsChina.com predicts the 1.8-liter variant to set one back by 150,000 yuan (13.38 lakh rupees).

We are inclined to deduce that the Jade will replace the Stream globally. The second generation model has been around since 2006, and in the next year or so Honda has to think up a replacement to keep the nameplate competitive in the market.
