Nepal Live - Hyundai Xcent

Hyundai is showcasing the Xcent compact sedan at the 2014 Nepal Auto Show (NADA 2014).

The Xcent was launched in the Nepali market last month by Laxmi InterContinental Pvt. Ltd., the sole distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal. The car is priced between NPR 2.49 million to NPR 3.19 million (INR 15.51 lakhs to INR 19.9 lakhs).

In Nepal, the compact sedan is available with a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which makes 83 PS (81.83 bhp) and 11.6 kgm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is the only gearbox option. According to the Indian ARAI tests, the Xcent is good for 19.1 km/l.

Three variants of the Xcent are available in Nepal - Base, S and SX. The top-end SX variant gets features such as diamond-cut alloy wheels, wing mirror with turn indicators, electrically adjustable and power folding wing mirrors, multifunction steering wheel, a 2-DIN music system with USB, AUX-in and Bluetooth, automatic climate control, 1 GB of internal storage, dual airbags, ABS, EBD and rear AC vents.

Based on the Grand i10's platform, the Xcent is manufactured at Hyundai Motor India Ltd's (HMIL) plant in Chennai. The car had its world premiere in February this year at the Delhi Motor Show.
