Hyundai Motor India is developing the Xcent successor, the three-box version of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. The same has been snapped getting tested on the public roads yet again. It is slated for 2020 launch.
The upcoming Hyundai Xcent successor is yet-to-be-named officially. On the outside, it will have a front fascia very similar to that of the Grand i10 Nios. The key differentiator between both the cars will be the contrasting honeycomb pattern of its Cascading grille. On the sides, the all-new sedan's greenhouse will sport a shape to the Grand i10 Nios'. Furthermore, it will feature more alluring machine-finished alloy wheels. At the rear, it will have a completely new boot lid which will look much cleaner as the license plate indentation will be on the rear bumper instead. Apart from this, will flaunt edgier combination lamps comprising C-shaped LED tail lights will make its rear-section look sportier and fresh.
Previous spy pictures have revealed that it will get a similar blacked-out dashboard, steering wheel and turbine-like air vents, taken from the Grand i10 Nios. Moreover, it will also get plusher leather upholstery, and adjustable head restraints on the rear bench. All these changes have been integrated to make the Xcent successor plusher and more upmarket compared to its predecessor.

The Hyundai Xcent successor will run on a BS-VI 1.2L Kappa petrol engine or a BS-VI U2 1.2L diesel engine. The petrol engine is rated to produce 81 PS and 114 Nm, while the diesel engine will deliver 74 PS and 190 Nm. 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual will be the transmission options available.
