In today's Bumper To Bumper video, we're discussing the New Small Family from the VW group. Volkswagen India's future, and Volkswagen's goal of being the largest auto maker in the world by 2018 is reliant on the change these cars bring - the Up!, Up! sedan and the Taigun SUV.
These three cars form the Volkswagen New Small Family (NSF) and VW India is understood to be localizing the components to reach 90%, before launching any of these products. In the years to come, these cars will be manufactured at VW's plant in Maharashtra and compete with offerings from established players such as Hyundai and Maruti.
But which of the three is the most important for India? Which one should come first? Is the proven top-down strategy the safest way out for VW? Do let us know in the comments box below.
