The India-bound 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been spied up close in Thailand, where it will be officially revealed on the 25th of this month. The MY2019 update arrives after almost four years since the current model was launched back in 2015.
The 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has a revised exterior, and the most noticeable changes are seen at the front. The rounded front-end has become sharper and more dynamic. The front fascia is almost similar to that of the facelifted Mitsubishi Triton and incorporates a tougher interpretation of the brand's 'Dynamic Shield' face. It features new, two-tier front light setup, new front bumper, new grille design with triple chrome slats and new skid plate. On the sides, it features new double-spoke alloy wheels which give it a more powerful look.

The rear-end has been tweaked with new lighting graphics for the combination lamps, new skid plate and new bumper. As per earlier revealed details, the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will also feature a new digital instrument cluster and a new climate control panel. While the rest of the details in the cabin remain more or less the same. The cabin carries the same old all-black interior colour theme with silver touch-ups given to the steering wheel, centreboard, door grip handles and the gear lever.
The mechanical changes are not yet known at the moment. In India, the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be launched with a BS-VI version of the 2.4 litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that churns out 181 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 430 Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system will be standard. The previous-gen Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is priced at INR 28.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, and so, the new-gen model may be priced at around INR 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is said to be launched in India by the end of this calendar year.
