India-bound MG Motors readies the MG3 facelift in China
New model expected to go on sale this year.
The current MG3 was introduced in 2013 and is set to receive a facelift this year. In the latest, the 2017 MG3 has leaked in completely undisguised spy shots that have surfaced on the Chinese web.
The MG3 gets a significantly revised exterior with the facelift. The new front fascia is apparently inspired by the MG ZS SUV and incorporates bigger and aggressive headlamps, new design mesh grille, tweaked central air intake grille, modified bumper and resculpted hood. At usual with any facelift, the profile sees no major changes other than new wheels. At the rear, changes include new tailgate with the handle moved below, revised bumper ad tweaked taillights.
Inside, the spy shots show that the 2017 MG3 will have a new design three-spoke steering wheel, new knobs for HVAC and a standing display at the middle of the dashboard. This is not to say that more changes are not possible.
