LA Live - Jaguar F-Type AWD
The F-Type lineup will have 14 variants.
The Jaguar F-Type AWD has debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The company has also announced its partnership with the Project Bloodhound SSC world land speed record team in the latter's venture to breach the 1000 mph mark.
Without revealing the technical specifications, Jaguar has announced that the number of derivatives of the F-Type family will be increased from the current 6 to 14 for 2015 and the entire range will be on display at the LA Auto Show.
The AWD is claimed to be one of the several performance enhancements of the F-Type range. The F-Type R Coupe AWD is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds (0.3 seconds quicker than the RWD F-Type R Coupe) before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 297.6 km/h (186 mph).
The top-end variant's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine is expected to continue in its current state of tune. The motor produces 495 hp at 6,500 rpm and 624 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm, and comes mated to a 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
