Jawa 300 Classic motorcycle bookings to open on 15 November
Jawa Motorcycles has announced via its Twitter handle that it will start accepting bookings for the upcoming Jawa 300 Classic and other bikes on 15 November.
The company is set to unveil up to four new Jawa motorcycles at an event in Mumbai on November 15. This could include a Classic, Bobber, Scrambler as well as a café racer. Yesterday, Jawa Motorcycles released a teaser video of the 300 Classic's exhaust note.
Speaking about the exhaust note, the company claims that a group of acoustic engineers has strived hard to mimic the signature Jawa 2-stroke exhaust sound. That said, the twin mufflers on the new Jawa 300 motorcycle produces a throaty and bassy note.
The upcoming Jawa 300 Classic motorcycle will employ a 293 cc, single-cylinder motor, which is tuned to offer strong mid-range and a flat torque curve. The 4-valve, fuel injected motor produces 27 bhp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The liquid-cooled engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
An uncamouflaged mule of the Jawa 300 Classic roadster was recently spied during a promotional TVC shoot. The motorcycle features the classic Jawa design with a retro headlight dome, cylindrical fuel tank, single-piece seat, and large fenders. It has a dual-tone maroon and chrome paint scheme and old-school design elements like conventional halogen lights all around.

The Jawa motorcycles will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350 among others. The Classic roadster will come equipped with telescopic forks and twin gas-charged rear shock absorber. Anchorage will come from a front disc and a rear drum brake setup with single-channel ABS as standard. The upcoming Jawa motorcycles are likely to be priced circa INR 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
