Jawa 300 Classic, Scrambler, Café Racer & Bobber likely to be unveiled on 15 Nov
Classic Legends Pvt Ltd is gearing up to showcase a range of new Jawa motorcycles on 15 November at an event in Mumbai. While not much is known about the upcoming Jawa bikes, the company has teased design sketches of the motorcycles, which includes a scrambler, classic, café racer and a bobber.
Jawa Motorcycles has released teaser footage on its official Facebook page, which reveals a few details about the upcoming bikes. The video shows design sketches of the forthcoming Jawa motorcycles along with an image of the all-new 293 cc, DOHC engine between the chassis.
A media report from September suggested that the company will launch three Jawa motorcycles in India. Of these, the first bike to be introduced in the country will be the Jawa 300 Classic, while the rest will follow in due course. Earlier this week, the 300 Classic was spied testing for the first time in India.
The upcoming Jawa motorcycle will be powered by a 293 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve motor that will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. The fuel-injected engine is good for 27 bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 28 Nm. The BS-VI compliant motor has been developed for offering a flat torque curve and a strong mid-range performance.
The Jawa 300 Classic features modern-retro styling with design elements like a kidney-shaped fuel tank, leather seat, raised handlebar, and chunky mudguards. The retro aesthetics are accentuated by the chrome detailing to the engine, twin exhausts, suspension and various other peripherals.
