Jawa Motorcycles continue to command a long waiting period, and buyers in select states have to wait for as long as 11 months to get the delivery of their bike. Classic Legends aim to address the issue with more efficient production. Speaking to NDTV Auto, Jawa Co-Founder, Anupam Thareja, said that the production is more streamlined now. Thareja further added that the company will meet the promised delivery schedule.

The company now has a strong vendor network in the country, and it is better prepared to deliver the motorcycles more efficiently. Speaking to the website on the sidelines of the Perak bobber launch, Thareja said:
We've reached the stage where we can now really ramp it up. Most importantly our vendors are in place, there are 3,000 of them. They understand our production, they understand the quality we require, they understand our deliveries. Today, now we are in a linear position that we will ramp up that thing the way we want it. Perak is a separate line, so it does affect the production of either the Jawa or Jawa Forty Two. I won't give much but you know we have other products coming in as well. So yes, it's much more planned.
The new vendor network is considerably higher than just over 700 suppliers in May this year. To ensure efficient deliveries, Thareja added that Classic Legends will accept bookings for three months at a time. The bookings for Perak bobber will start from January 2020 while the deliveries will commence from April.
To give you a quick recap, Classic Legends announced the launch of the Jawa Perak bobber on 15 November 2019. The latest addition to the brand’s product portfolio is priced at INR 1,94,500*. The Perak bobber is also the first BS-VI compliant Jawa motorcycle in our market. The 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine produces a healthy 30.4 PS/30 bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 31 Nm. A recent report claimed that the same motor will power new variants of the Jawa Classic and Forty-Two.
