India Kawasaki Motors has introduced a new colour option for the Ninja 1000 ABS. The new ‘Metallic Matte Fusion Silver’ paint, however, will be limited to just 60 units.

The price for the sports tourer with the new colour option remains unchanged from the existing levels and the motorcycle is available at INR 10,29,000 (ex-showroom, PAN India). Apart from the limited edition Metallic Matte Fusion Silver, the Ninja 1000 ABS is also available in "Candy lime green" and "Metallic spark black" paint options. Kawasaki’s press release states:
The increased demands of more colour option from customers led us to bring more variants. The price for our new colour variant still remains the same. We expect this new colour variant will reincarnate the thought of purchasing Ninja 1000 ABS for our new aspirated customer.
Besides the addition of the new paint, Kawasaki has made no changes to the Ninja 1000 ABS and the motorcycle continues to feature all the specifications and hardware from the last update. The motorcycle is aimed to deliver a relaxed riding position to offer comfort in a variety of situations. The feature list on the Ninja 1000 ABS includes:
- LED headlamps and DRLs
- Detailed display console
- Comfortable ergonomics
- Improved aerodynamics
- Reduced weight
Mechanical specifications on the Ninja 1000 ABS include an in-line four-cylinder, 1,043 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder (16 valves) that is paired to a six-speed transmission with Assist & Slipper Clutch. The motor is tuned to return 142 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm of max torque at 7,300 rpm. The performance numbers from the engine can be used with two riding modes - Full Power and Low Power. The Ninja 1000 ABS gets a 4-into-2-pre-chamber-into-2 layout for the exhaust.
Stopping power comes from dual semi-floating 300 mm petal discs at the front and a single 250 mm petal disc at the rear. The electronic rider aids on the Ninja 1000 ABS include Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, Kawasaki Traction Control and Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System.

Suspension setup includes 41 mm inverted fork at the front and a horizontal Back-link, gas-charged monoshock at the back. Both, front and rear suspension hardware features rebound damping and spring preload adjustability.
