For a sum of 5,000 Euros, you can jazz-up your Chevrolet Spark base variant (Beat for India) in Europe. The new tuning kit released by KBR Motorsport does not buy you speed or acceleration, but there's a lot of style on offer.
Only a few hatchbacks in the market today can pull off any kind of tuning experiment. The Polo and Beat in our view have that rare quality to carry modifications of any intensity or taste with grace.
The KBR pack can give your new Beat style in the form of new 17-inch alloys, racing stripes, chrome tipped exhaust, bumpers with body painted fillers. Mechanically KBR has donned the car with new dampers to better the ride and the exhaust system has been modified to sound racy.
KBR also empties the rear hatch of the Chevy bowtie and variant badges. They have put on sun film and given the rear spoiler a contrasting paint work.
KBR leaves the under-hood installation untouched meaning customers can choose either the 1L or 1.2L petrol engine.
The Chevrolet Beat in India may not enjoy any such pampering from tuning companies, but you have to note that the car is going under the scalpel. India is also the only market in the world where the Beat is sold with a diesel engine.
