Motoroyale India has already confirmed to IAB that it is planning to locally source 30-40 percent parts on the Norton Motorcycles range. When asked about the company’s plan to localise its offerings in India, Mr Ajinkya Firodia said, -

Right now, we have not planned. But Kinetic group has the capability, and we are learning a lot with the Norton localisation. If the dollar keeps going up, we will have to go for localisation. But we will go for localising the easy parts, not the parts of the engine and stuff. So, we are looking at 20-25 percent localisation on certain brands.

Kinetic Motoroyale announced three new partnerships and launched seven new bikes in India on 11 October. Apart from MV Agusta and Norton Motorcycles, Motoroyale now deals with brands like FB Mondial, Hyosung and SWM Motorcycles in India.

The seven new launches include the FB Mondial HPS 300, Norton Commando Limited Edition, MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR, Norton Dominator Limited Edition, Hyosung Aquila Pro, SWM Superdual T, and the Hyosung GT250R. The company will launch the Hyosung Mirage 250 in India by March 2019.

The company is also considering to launch the SWM Superdual X variant in India by February 2019, while the Norton Atlas 650 scrambler will make way to the domestic market in 2020. However, Motoroyale India has no plans to introduce lower capacity bikes from FB Mondial.

The company has set itself a target of 2,500-unit sales of its range of motorcycle offerings in 2019. While it looks like a tough ask, the extensive product portfolio should help the company to reach the target.
