You probably would have heard the name of GM Customs for creating Suzuki Hayabusa replicas on entry-level performance motorcycles like the Yamaha YZF-R15 and the Hero MotoCorp Karizma. Now, the creators have delivered something quite unique. They took a standard KTM 200 Duke and gave it a complete overhaul that transformed the motorcycle into a muscular package.

The only parts retained are the chassis (although slightly tweaked), engine and the alloy wheels. Everything else is custom made to give the Austrian naked roadster a look that appears to have shot straight out of a Transformers franchise.

The fascia receives a twin-pod projector headlight with DRLs that remind of the arc reactor from the Marvel Universe that power Iron Man’s suit. A custom panel, in a matte black finish, surrounds the headlight assembly.

The extreme makeover to the fascia is complemented a revised front suspension setup. The standard motorcycle comes with upside-down telescopic forks. However, this customised 200 Duke uses two nitrox-charged springs, sourced from Bajaj Pulsar NS200, to perform the shock absorption tasks at the front. At the rear is another nitrox-charged monoshock that’s mounted asymmetrically. The frame has been modified to fit the new rear shock absorber. The stock swingarm too has been replaced, and the wheelbase has extended than the standard motorcycle.

The bodywork has received a dose of steroids as custom-built panels replace the design of the standard motorcycle. The front gets a custom fender that receives the same colour as the rest of the bodywork. The beefier look is achieved with a custom fuel tank, a new rear panel and a muscular engine cowl. The fuel tank gets a dual tone finish with a gloss black panel that runs on the top. Clip-on style handlebar offers sporty ergonomics. The saddle continues to feature its step-up design. Fatter tyres on both ends join the new body panels. The front uses a 150-section tyre while at the rear is a 190-section unit.
