The Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario is what the Italian supercar maker is showing at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
As the name suggests, this is a special edition of the hugely popular Aventador and marks the brand's 50th anniversary. The exclusivity is apparent as only 100 units of the Aventador Anniversario will ever be made.
By now, you would have realized by reading the title alone that this edition carries a 20bhp power increase as signaled by the name '720'. Power still comes from the same V12 engine, but thanks to engine optimizations, the engineers have managed to extract 20 more horsepower. However, the car still does 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and will continue to a top speed of 350km/h.
Exterior wise, the Anniversario gets a special aero kit that improve the aerodynamics and the cooling. Apart from the front and rear redesigned side flaps, a new rear end design improves the heat flow to the engine.
There are also a number of places where the special 50th anniversary logos are located. The Anniversario will be available only in this May Yellow color. The paint has a strong glitter effect as well. The name of the color is reference to the month Lamborghini was founded - May of 1963. And Lambo say that Yellow is the most preferred color on a Lamborghini.
