Audi India was not the only car manufacturer to introduce a cut-price model (the Audi Q3 S). As it turns out, Land Rover have also introduced a low cost Freelander 2.
The Land Rover Freelander 2 S Business Edition as it is called favors a lower price tag and for that reason, gets a few features deleted from its list. The good news is that unlike Audi, Land Rover has not gone all-out introducing a manual transmission, a less powerful engine and a lack of four wheel drive. No, the S Business Edition continues to have a 6-speed automatic mated to the 150PS 2.2-liter TD4 diesel engine (Note: The same engine produces 190PS in the SD4 Freelander 2).
With 420Nm of torque being supplied to all four wheels, the S Business continues to feature the Terrain Response system. We also find that features such as auto headlights, Xenon lamps, rain sensing wipers and front/rear parking sensors continue to be offered. So what has been deleted you ask?
The front doors do not get puddle lamps and the sunroof has also been deleted. Further deletions include the rear camera, seat mounted armrests for the driver and passenger and electric adjustment for the driver and passenger seats. In terms of entertainment, the S Business gets a 4.2-inch color display (instead of a 7-inch touchscreen unit with navigation) along with an 80W 6 speaker unit (other models get 380W 11 speakers/825W 17 speakers).
The S Business will not be available in a few exterior colors (refer spec sheet). The price is as follows in ex-Showroom, New Delhi:

It's about INR 3.5 lakhs cheaper than the previous base variant.
