Likely attributed to Delhi's ban on cars with diesel engines displacing over 2.0 liters.
According to Autocar India, Land Rover will introduce petrol-powered variants of the models sold in India, which include the Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and Range Rover LWB.
Currently, the only petrol powered models available in India are the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Sport SVR and the Range Rover duo, which are all powered by a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged petrol engine. This could change, as the report suggests that JLR India will introduce the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine in the Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport, and a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine for the Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery.

This move is attributed to Delhi's ban on cars with diesel engines displacing over 2.0 liters, as well as the relatively small gap between the prices of petrol and diesel.
