The Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition pays homage to the Mk2 model with centre-opening doors that was available from model years 1961 through 1969. The classic model featured a chrome-accented upper shoulder line as well, something that became a signature look for the luxury brand.

Lincoln will sell 80 units of the Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition for MY2019, with more units following for MY2020. The limited-run model has coach doors with 90-degree opening that not only makes for easy, graceful entry and exit but also an unobstructed view of the splendid interior.

The Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition has a six-inch longer wheelbase that allows for the placement of the larger coach doors, while also offering more comfort for the rear-seat passengers. The special edition model features top-class Lincoln Black Label interior and a pass-through console that offers a stowable tray table with tablet holder and wireless charging pad.

Under the hood, there’s the Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine that develops 400 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. (542.33 Nm) of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system work together to channel power to the wheels.

For now, the Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition is exclusive to the U.S. market, but it could see a Chinese launch sometime later this year, should enough customers demand it. Priced upwards of $1,10,000 (INR 78,19,350.00), it is the most expensive Lincoln launched to the date.
